CARAT* was founded in 2003 and has a number of prestgious boutiques in cities around the world. The brand draws its main inspiration from the lost art of Luxury Fashion Jewellery.

CARAT* designs, develops and assembles their jewellery the same way the finest jewellers in the world do, attention to details, hand craftsmanship and precious metals. While we agree nothing sparkles quite like a natural gemstone, Carat* believes you will not find a better alternative on the market. Withvery similar optical characteristics to diamond, many jewellers have agreed they have difficulty telling Carat* stones from naturals. Each piece is hand assembled by Mater Craftsmen and specializing in skillsl such as micro setting pave, burnishing and simple prong work.On average it takes up to 9-18 months to train a single technician in various stages of sawing, pre-forming, faceting and polishing. Each  stage of the process is done with care and attention to the precise "ideal" proportions that will yield the most brilliant stones. There are no machines mass producing Carat* stones. By using highly trained and experienced stone cutters Carat are able to create stones with quality that are second to none.

Through the skill Carat* showed the world that you do not have to be a queen or an empress to wear beautiful jewels. The materials used not only hand to convince and expert but also parade the skill of a fine jewellery easily impressing the discerning gaze of any courtier...expert or not. This was the traditional art of the luxury fashion jeweller and this is the art of Carat* today.
